I watched a little clip of Ashlee Simpson and her beautiful pregnant baby belly when she sat down for a chat with ET Canada. She seems really content as she happily gabbed on about her great marriage and the upcoming birth of their baby and the preparations they are doing to get their home baby-proofed:

“We’re getting the nursery ready, “I can’t wait to be a mom and he can’t wait to be a dad, so it’s fun. I have the greatest husband. He’s so awesome. It’s fun to have somebody that I love to do this with.”

She also talked about how grateful she is for her family’s support:

“My mom and my grandmother [have] given me good motherly advice, but it’s one of those things where your mother instincts kind of kick in right away.”

She also revealed that they still haven’t decided on a name for their baby… at least not yet:

“I don’t think it’s something we’ll decide until the baby comes.”

She’s still writing songs but isn’t planning on going into the studio until after the birth of the baby:

“The baby is my main focus right now,” she says. “We’re both so excited. I mean, this is definitely the happiest moment in my life.”

How can this be the happiest moment of her life when she is only waiting for the baby… wouldn’t she have the happiest moment once the baby arrives?!

 Pete Wentz is angry that people are angry they lied about the baby. He wrote a big rant… the thing is there was no point denying if you are pregnant. That just stirs up rumors. If they really wanted to keep it a secret they wouldn’t have told a sole for three months. Oh well, most people are happy for them, I don’t know why he is ranting.. seems liek a waste of time.

“Every woman, no matter who they are or what they do for a living, has the right to wait at least 3 months before sharing this very personal news,” he wrote. “We wanted to wait until after the first trimester and get a clean bill of health from our doctors before confirming anything, just like any other couple.

Being a boy I have no idea how to respond to such things and my first instinct was to protect her and the baby.

It’s insane that you can’t let happy news brew in Hollywood. This wasn’t about press or anything. It was about the health of the baby and trying to find a way to be happy with what should be the most happy time of our lives in the middle of a press blitz. I apologize to anyone who felt misinformed but the truth is, the person and growing baby is who I felt most loyal to protect and defend.”

The newlyweds have confirmed that they are expecting a baby in an official statement on Pete’s web site.

The statement reads:

“While many have speculated about this, we wanted to wait until after the first trimester to officially confirm that we are expecting our first child. This is truly the most joyous time in our lives and we are excited to share the happy news and start our family.” The news is signed by Pete and Ashlee Wentz.

Hopefully the couple that flat-irons together stays together. I wish them both well and hope that they do their best to be great parents.

Here is Ashlee on her honeymoon, I don’t really see a baby bump, then again it is supposedly to early on to see anything,  Ashlee looks really happy,  I am glad at least one of the Simpson sisters has found love. I look at Jessica and just feel so sorry for her. You know she is just dying to be loved, and no one wants her.

Congrats to Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. I wonder if Ashlee will be changing her name or not.

The nuptials took place yesterday at the Simpson mansion in LA. I am sure one of the major magazines will be publishing their wedding photos. I doubt that the money will be ‘donated’ to charity either!

I guess reality tv is the new ‘it’ thing to do. Seems like everyone and their dogs has a reality show. The next ones on the bandwagon are Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz. What they aren’t taking into consideration is that reality shows kill realtionships. Look at her older sis and Nick they were totally in love and that all changed. Even the Hogans who were a long term couple split shortly after their reality show. This will just doom  Pete and Ash’s lovey dovey relationship!

Oh and here is what a ’source’ said…

“He (Pete) knows that no one cared about Jessica before her reality show, and he’s hoping a show for Ashlee will have the same effect.”

I am starting to question where people get these sources, but what the heck I thought I would inform you of what they said anyway.

I can’t believe Ashlee’s dad Joe Simpson is already trying to whore out his daughters unborn baby pictures. I thought they weren’t even expecting?!

According to a magazine industry insider, Joe Simpson is asking for $1 million for an Ashlee cover story plus photos of the baby along with a nice interview. The insider also pointed out “$60,000 maybe - but definitely not a million. The timing is a little suspicious. Her album (Bittersweet World) is dropping next week, and there was little to no interest until now. Ashlee’s lucky she got pregnant, frankly.”

I have to say that Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz are sickly cute! Ashely is looking pretty cute/skinny in her bikini, and Pete looks like he just walked off the skate park! Where are his board shorts and sandals… he looks like he is wearing more makeup that she is. Either way they do seem very happy together, all cuddled up on one sun bench.

Nick Carter who used to date Ashlee Simpson has went on the record saying that

“She looks plastic as hell … she went to the factory and got a whole new face.”

I guess he liked her with the big snout! I personally think Ashlee looks amazing since her surgery, but she did indeed go towards the more traditional Barbie look rather than her regular punk self.

Oh well, maybe Nick is just upset he isn’t nearly as popular as he used to be.
