Dita Von Teese judges pole-dancing skills on a US reality TV show

Dita Von Teese appeared as a guest judge on a US reality TV show to rate wannabe drag queens’ attempts at pole-dancing.

The burlesque star took on the role of adjudicator on the Logo channel’s popular series RuPaul’s Drag Race, which aims to find America’s next top drag green.

And the 37-year-old former wife of rocker Marilyn Manson was impressed with the dancing skills on show from the contestants who strutted their stuff at a packed Hollywood nightclub.

Von Teese is one of a number of guest judges who have filmed segments of the show, including comediennes Cloris Leachman and Kathy Griffin, punk legend Henry Rollins, novelist Jackie Collins and actress Debbie Reynolds.

The show is presented by internationally renowned drag queen RuPaul, who acts as host, mentor and inspiration for the series.
