Maggie Gyllenhaal celebrates Oscar nomination with brother Jake’s homemade pancakes

Actress Maggie Gyllenhaal has revealed her brother Jake made her homemade pancakes to celebrate her Oscar nomination, according to reports.

The 32-year-old star has been nominated for an Academy Award in the best supporting actress category for her role in 2009 movie Crazy Heart.

Gyllenhaal was at her brother’s house when she heard the news.

She said: “My brother’s phone was ringing at his house and he woke up and said, ‘Did you get nominated?’

“I said: ‘Yes! I did!’”

The Secretary star added that she considered going back to sleep, but Jake made her coffee and pancakes to celebrate instead.
