The member of the Jonas Brothers who now has his own project called Nick Jonas and the Administration recently admitted that he no longer wants to see fans crying to his music. This is what Nick Jonas said on the matter: I just prefer to make people happy with my music. I prefer to see a smile on someone’s face after I sing a song.” Yes, why would Nick Jonas want to create melodies that inspire raw passion in his fans when he can just stick to the happy-happy, joy-joy songs? Those are a lot safer and they probably sell better too? We wouldn’t want Nick Jonas’ solo project to go unsold, now would we?

Isn’t this year’s Grammy Awards ceremony going to be a special one… not only will there be a duet between Elton John and Lady GaGa, but Michael Jackson’s kids might also be there doing their stuff on stage. This is what a source said regarding this possibility: “Michael first unveiled his legendary moonwalk at the Grammys, so it’s only right they all go out with a tribute.” Go out with a tribute? Not the best choice of words there, but it would indeed be a treat for Michael Jackson’s children to sing one or two of their father’s songs at the Grammys. After all, it’s never too early to become an obedient servant of the industry.

Actor Orlando Bloom has said he won’t be returning for a fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie.

Director Rob Marshall is taking on the movie, with Johnny Depp playing the role of Captain Jack Sparrow once again.
Asked at the Sundance Film Festival if he would be returning, Bloom said to MTV News: “No, definitely no. I think Will is sort of swimming around with the fish at the bottom of the ocean. I had a great time making those movies. I just really wanted to do different things.”

Forest Whitaker will star in a slated CBS spin-off of Criminal Minds.
Whitaker, who has played many soldiers and rogue characters, will take on the role of a former star profiler in the Behavioural Unit of Criminal Minds who strikes out with a team. The plot line will spin out of a Criminal Minds episode in the spring, according to a US report.
Whitaker’s character was described as a dynamic, mysterious father figure who has been out of circulation for a few years.
The spin-off has been penned by Criminal Minds executive producer Chris Mundy, who is a former writer for Rolling Stone Magazine. The original story came from Minds executive producer Ed Bernero.
Whitaker won an Oscar for playing Idi Amin in The Last King Of Scotland. He has appeared in many films and TV dramas.
It seems that the soon to be former Aerosmith vocalist is either reliving the days of his youth or he desperately wants to prove to Joe Perry that his singing days are far from over. After hitting a local karaoke bar, Steven Tyler did it again recently as he started serenading the shoppers at a US hardware store. A source said the following about Steven Tyler’s recent outburst: “Steven also swallowed a few mouthfuls of gas from a helium machine, for blowing up balloons, and kept singing in a high pitched Bee Gees style. He was very relaxed though, and happily signed autographs for anyone who asked.” A little help here and there and Steven Tyler is as good as new, isn’t he? Surely Joe Perry will think twice now before replacing him… especially since he’s such a popular figure with the common folk these days.

Desperate Housewives star Felicity Huffman was left lost for words while presenting at the SAG Awards, when her bad eyesight meant she couldn’t read the autocue.
The actress could be seen squinting and then opening her eyes wide in a desperate attempt to make out the words as she presented Outstanding Female Actor in a Drama Series.
Eventually, she had to come clean and admit she could not see and asked fellow presenter Alec Baldwin to read her part on the live show.
Embarrassed Felicity, who plays Lynette Scavo in Desperate Housewives, put her arm around Baldwin and smiled awkwardly as he read their scripted chat by himself.
Felicity told the production team and audience: “You’re going to have to click up the type because I can’t see that. I don’t have my glasses on.”
She struggled to read the first few words of her lines, then told Baldwin: “I’m not going to be able to do it.”
Unflappable Baldwin read Felicity’s lines, then paused and said: “It’s my turn now,” before continuing with his own part of the script.
Entourage star Adrian Grenier was a man for all seasons as he helped Sesame Street’s Elmo learn about spring, summer, autumn and winter.
The TV hunk joined Elmo to explain the word “season” on the long-running kids’ show.
The pair had to deal with some dramatic weather changes as they were magically transported through the seasons by a robot called Seasonbot 3000.
Grenier shivered in the winter cold, sheltered under a newspaper from the spring rain, sweated in the summer sun and was blown away by the autumn wind.
Actor George Clooney is said to be pledging $1million to the victims of the Haiti earthquake.
Clooney has put together a mega telethon bash with a breathtaking list of star performers and guests that include U2 front man Bono, Jay-Z, Beyonce and Madonna.
Clooney will helm the event on Friday that will be multi-cast via television and the internet around the globe from Los Angeles, while Wyclef Jean will direct from New York.
The star of Up in the Air had donated to Haiti already as a contributor to the $1million given by a group that included his friends, Matt Damon and Brad Pitt.
Pitt and his partner, Angelina Jolie, along with Sandra Bullock and Gisele Bundchen have made personal donations of $1million or more to the earthquake victims.
The ‘Hope For Haiti Now’ telethon will air on Friday night on multiple networks and cable channels.
It looks as if these base instincts seem to be catching up with everybody these days. New on the list of “I want to be a mommy” is Lily Allen who has also become very fond of the idea of having a baby. This is what the singer said on the matter: “I just want to have babies and live in the countryside, that’s my goal really. I’m not a careerist, what I really want is to be a mum. I am driven, but that drive goes as far as keeping a roof over my head and having a routine. I have been in a relationship for six or seven months now and its going really well, so why not?” Yeah, sure… after all, if it lasted for such a specific amount of time as six or seven months than this is clearly the man Lily Allen should have children with. No doubt about it!

Dennis Quaid is bracing for some fallout over his upcoming movie Legion.
The supernatural action thriller about a God that loses faith in mankind and lets loose on civilisation is sure to start an uproar, the actor indicated.
Said Quaid: “I don’t think it is going to be on the Vatican must-see list, but it is thought provoking. It’s more Old Testament than New Testament with God’s wrath and all that.”
His co-star Tyrese Gibson, meanwhile, said: “I think the beauty of Christianity, or any religion, is that when you read the Bible, we can read the same exact words, but we’re going to walk away with different interpretations of the same words. This is [director] Scott Stewart’s interpretation of the way he sees the world and the way he sees certain verses in the Bible. It’s his opinion, he’s entitled to it. I was just happy to help him bring that vision to life, but that doesn’t mean I see it the way he sees it.”
Kate Walsh, another actor in the movie, said she hopes audiences will take the movie in the right vein. “There is the Biblical aspect to it, but it’s not preachy, and it doesn’t unequivocally say it’s this or that. In the end it’s fun, an exciting and terrifying horror movie. You can take what you want and leave the rest.”
Sarah Jessica Parker has confirmed she has stepped into a top executive role for the designer brand Halston.
Parker was rumoured to be taking on creative directorship or the like. But the Sex and the City lead character will become no less than company president.
She said: “I think this is a new kind of business model, and it illustrates how serious I am about this position. I think it’s wonderful to feel invested in something. I tend not to just endorse something. I like feeling the stakes. I know I come to the company in a rather unorthodox way but I’m not the first to be president of a company without the traditional background. Others have been successful in those endeavours and I do so hope I can be as well.”
The move is an interesting one for Parker, who has shown savvy and business sense in previous fashion ventures. But just how the actress can juggle infant twins, a young son, a husband, movie roles and a company presidency remains to be seen.
TV presenter and model Alexa Chung is to create a clothing collection for US store Madewell, according to US reports.
The 26-year-old star, who used to host the US show It’s On with Alexa Chung, will be the brand’s first celebrity collaborator and will be designing the range based on her own photos and illustrations.
Alexa said: “I was being offered so many collaborations for a long time, but I held off. I thought it would be quite a ’sellout’ thing to do, but Madewell had a more organic approach…
“They seemed really interested in my ideas and it’s a brand that I really admire.”
