Rachel McAdams admires natural approach – up to a point
Rachel McAdams has come out in support of Lindsay Lohan.
McAdams worked with Lohan on Mean Girls. She told Vogue: “I just remember marvelling about how much she knew as an actor, how much she understood. She did very few takes and had this naturalness to her. And beyond that, I was 26 at the time.”
McAdams says she was raised to value the naturalness she sees in Lohan. She said: “My mother never put an emphasis on looks. She let us grow up on our own time line. She never forced any beauty regimen into my world.”
The approach included not shaving her legs in high school. But this was something McAdams felt they should have discussed. She asked her mother: “Why didn’t you tell me? Once you start, there’s no turning back.”
McAdams’s career is rocketing, with her latest film, Sherlock Holmes, due in cinemas on Christmas Day.
