Redmond O’Neal’s progress pleases LA judge

Redmond O’Neal has impressed a Los Angeles judge who earlier cautioned him to lift his game.

Appearing before Michael Tynan, the ginger-haired O’Neal said: “I have been doing treatment a while, your honour. I want to do something different. I want to stay clean.”

The judge was positive. He said of O’Neal’s routine progress report: “I told you to turn it around, and it looks like you did.”

O’Neal, 24, is doing time at a residential rehabilitation facility over a drug-possession-related charge. He lost his mother Farrah Fawcett to cancer over the summer. She has left him most of her estate, worth $4.5 million.

O’Neal, whose father is actor Ryan, said:”I feel very good, and I’m staying very positive.”
