Grey’s Anatomy star Eric Dane and wife Rebecca Gayheart are expecting a baby girl, according to reports.

The happy couple will be thinking pink when their bundle of joy arrives in early 2010.

The 37-year-old actor and Gayheart, 38, shared their good news in September by stepping out in public once her pregnancy bump began to show, but they never formally announced the pregnancy.

Gayheart recently said: “We’ve always wanted to be parents. I think Eric is going to be a wonderful dad and, hopefully, I’ll be a good mum. We’re absolutely looking forward to it.”

However, before news of the pregnancy broke in September, the couple were facing some bad press.

Earlier this year, they were caught up in a sex-tape scandal following the release of a home video, which showed them naked and fooling around with their friend, former beauty queen Kari Anne Peniche.

Concern over David Tennant ‘overkill’ on BBC

Filed under: Actor, christmas — Beyotch @ 4:19 pm

Doctor Who star David Tennant will have made 75 appearances in three weeks on BBC TV channels and radio stations by the end of the Christmas period.

The 38-year-old appears in a two-part farewell as the time-traveller in Doctor Who: The End of Time, as well as starring in a production of Hamlet and presenting celebrity quiz shows. He has also been featured as a guest on Desert Island Discs and read stories for a children’s programme between December 14 and January 3.

Conservative MP Nigel Evans, who sits on the Culture Media and Sport select committee, accused the BBC of ignoring young acting talent while promoting Tennant.

He said: “Relying on such an overkill of one particular person is freezing out a lot of opportunity for a lot of up and coming people. Even the most dedicated fan might have thought that the BBC was turning into the David Tennant Corporation.”

The BBC said: “These appearances were spread over several weeks and channels. We would not expect any one audience to see more than a handful.”

Tennant’s spokesman was unavailable for comment.

Sherlock Holmes star Jude Law has revealed the cast would love to a make a sequel to the hit movie.

Guy Ritchie’s take on the classic Holmes’ tales took in a staggering $65 million in its opening weekend in the US.

Now Law, who plays Holmes’ sidekick Dr Watson, has confirmed that the cast – which also includes Robert Downey Jnr, Rachel McAdams and Mark Strong – want to come back for a sequel in the near future.

Law said: “We’ll certainly stay in contact and my hope is that everyone enjoys the film so much that they want us to do it again.

“And if that’s the case, I would happily grow my moustache and don the hat and get back on with it.”

Law revealed he also loved having Guy Ritchie as a director and says he and Robert Downey Jr often got into trouble for messing around on set.

He told OK! magazine: “Guy was extraordinary. He had all the responsibility and yet he was probably the coolest and calmest man on set every day.

“He ran a very happy and collaborative set and he knew when to let me and Robert play and he knew when to tell us to stop playing and get on with the job. He was like the dad to the two bickering sons.”

Avatar star Zoe Saldana has said that she is ‘proud to be a geek’.

The 31-year-old actress stars as Neytiri in James Cameron’s new movie opposite Sam Worthington.

The star is becoming a hit in the science fiction world as she also played Uhura in the remake of Star Trek earlier this year, but she admitted that she’s always been drawn to nerdy flicks.

She told PEOPLE: “For me, it’s been like preaching to my choir, because I was considered what you would think of as a geek.

“I loved stories that helped me escape, and those happened to be the stories that fall into the category of geekiness. So, therefore, I am a proud geek!”

Despite reports the Gosselin divorce was likely to take place in the new year, sources now say the reality TV stars could be hitched no more by the weekend.

A lawyer for Kate Gosselin, Mark Momjian said: “We spoke to the law clerk today and we are anticipating the divorce decree will put in today or tomorrow. We are just waiting for the decree to be entered.”

Earlier reports said the arbiter was still working on custody and finance arrangements for the pair, who filed for divorce in a Montgomery County, Pennsylvania. But yesterday the news broke that their arbiter’s decision had been handed down.

A decree, said Momjian, is likely on Thursday or Friday.

Jon and Kate were warring off set as much as on in recent weeks. But their divorce has apparently been speeded along by an unexpectedly successful face-to-face meeting in which they hashed out the details of the split

Bradley Cooper’s mum likes to keep him informed of gossip

The Hangover star Bradley Cooper has said his mum likes to keep him informed of any media gossip.

The 34-year-old is rumoured to be dating Bridget Jones actress Renee Zellweger, 40, and admitted that his mum loves to keep track of what is being said about him.

Cooper said: “Well, my mother gets such a kick out of it.

“A while ago, she couldn’t even turn on a computer.

“Now she’ll call me and say: ‘Bradley, did you see this?’

“If someone talked about me in Egypt, she’d know about it.

“But that’s not the reason I got into all this. I’m 34 years old, not 24. I think if I was 24, I’d be more: ‘Whoah! Let’s have a good time!’”

Zoe Saldana fed up being mistaken for Thandie Newton

Filed under: Actress — Beyotch @ 9:51 am

SPL146442_001

Avatar star Zoe Saldana wants to do more films where people see her face because she’s tired of being mistaken for Brit beauty Thandie Newton.

The actress, who plays a nine-foot-tall blue creature in the sci-fi movie, said: “Neytiri [her character] is blue, she’s nine feet tall, and she has [bigger] t**s than I do, but it’s me – my face, my facial muscles, my expressions. It’s everything that I did, and Jim [Cameron] captured that.

“I’m just going to have to do more movies where people see my face and won’t go: ‘Oh look, that’s Thandie Newton!’”

The New Yorker also says she’s a “sci-fi geek” who gets “turned on” by playing strong women.

“I was raised by a woman who was a huge sci-fi geek, and I think I’m one, too,” the actress who played Uhura in Star Trek, says.

In the upcoming movie The Losers, Saldana plays a gun-toting black ops soldier, something she’s thrilled about. “[I enjoy those roles] like you wouldn’t believe,” she says.

“It turns me on in a way that I shouldn’t be saying. It’s not the guns that turn me on, though – it’s seeing women in a commanding position.

“It’s boring to always play the victim [saying]: ‘Rape me. I’ll have your child’.

“F that! Why don’t you have my baby and wait at home while I go kill some motherf*****s?

“It’s just very empowering. I just want to play roles that, in some way or another, resemble the kind of person that I am, the kind of things that I’m attracted to.”

The poll said an apology made by Jaimee Grubbs to the wife of Woods, Elin Nordegren, for an alleged 31-month affair with the golfer ranked as the least sincere of celebrity apologies.

HCD Research used its MediaCurves.com web site from January to December 2009 to survey an undisclosed number of people in the US who ranked five celebrity apologies on a scale of sincerity.

Chris Brown’s apology for assaulting Rihanna was ranked most sincere and was followed by David Letterman’s sex scandal confession, South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford’s apology for his affair and Letterman’s other apology – for a joke about a daughter of former Alaska governor, Sarah Palin.

Rachel McAdams admires natural approach – up to a point

SPL119315_026

Rachel McAdams has come out in support of Lindsay Lohan.

McAdams worked with Lohan on Mean Girls. She told Vogue: “I just remember marvelling about how much she knew as an actor, how much she understood. She did very few takes and had this naturalness to her. And beyond that, I was 26 at the time.”

McAdams says she was raised to value the naturalness she sees in Lohan. She said: “My mother never put an emphasis on looks. She let us grow up on our own time line. She never forced any beauty regimen into my world.”

The approach included not shaving her legs in high school. But this was something McAdams felt they should have discussed. She asked her mother: “Why didn’t you tell me? Once you start, there’s no turning back.”

McAdams’s career is rocketing, with her latest film, Sherlock Holmes, due in cinemas on Christmas Day.

Actress Emily Blunt said she wasn’t impressed when she was first offered the part of ‘overweight old lady’ Queen Victoria in the new movie.

The 26-year-old plays the lead role in new flick The Young Victoria, which opens in US cinemas on December 18.

Talking about when she was first offered the part, she said to UK newspaper Daily Mail: “I was like: ‘Really guys? Really? An overweight old lady?’

“I had this image of her as the old lady in black with the hankie on her head looking really miserable.

“I’ve done some Q and As where people have said: ‘Well, the reason that Victoria had so many children was because typhoid was very prevalent in that time.

“And I’m like: ‘Or she loved sex. Either one’.”
