Sienna Miller: GI Joe is pure escapism

GI Joe star Sienna Miller said she chose to do the film because the role is “different” to the parts she usually plays.

Sienna, 27, plays the role of The Baroness in the movie, and admitted that she liked the film because it offers “escapism” for viewers.

She said: “It’s really fun to be in a film that’s pure entertainment, that people want to go and see,” she said.

“I think, in the current climate… people want escapism. So it’s quite a good moment for a film that’s about having fun.”

Miller, who has also starred on the big screen in Alfie, Casanova, and Factory Girl, revealed that she does not like to watch any of her own films.

She said: “I don’t really love any of my films. I love the experiences I had on them, but I see the flaws within my performances.”
