Myleene Klass’s presenting career in the US got off to a good start as her show I’m A Celebrity pulled in 6.3 million viewers.

Myleene, 31, who appeared as a contestant in the UK version of the show, co-hosted the US reality show alongside American presenter Damien Fahey.

A source close to the star said: “It is a great start and hopefully the beginning of a big new career for her in America.”

It is claimed bosses at NBC, which runs the show, were pleased with the ratings as it managed to pull in 2.5 million 18 to 35 year olds, which is the audience the advertisers wanted to target.

Reality-show regulars Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt have already quit the show and other celebs taking part include Janice Dickinson and Lou Diamond Phillips.
