David and Victoria Beckham have reportedly cancelled a star-studded bash to celebrate their 10th wedding anniversary.

It is claimed Victoria, 35, decided against the party because she believes David has put his football career before their new life in Los Angeles by playing for Italian club AC Milan.

A friend said: “Being apart is hard for them. It’s the first time in their marriage that Vic has been angry at David.”

The friend added to British newspaper the Daily Star: “David really misses the three boys and still doesn’t really understand why Vic wouldn’t move to Milan to keep the family together. They are trying to make it work, but the resentments are simmering.”

David temporarily relocated to Milan after playing on loan for AC Milan when the season ended at his regular club LA Galaxy. However, Victoria remained in the US where they set up home in 2007 when David, 33, signed for LA Galaxy.

The couple will celebrate their 10-year anniversary in July this year after marrying in Luttrellstown Castle, Ireland, in 1999.

A spokeswoman for the pair said: “They have private 10th anniversary celebrations planned.”

Star Trek actor Eric Bana gave the sci-fi classic’s famous salute for the first time when he appeared on a US chat show.

The Australian hunk told host Jay Leno he had resisted all calls to make the hand sign from the cult series while promoting the new Star Trek movie around the world.

Bana, who stars as villain Captain Nero in the film, told Leno: “I’ve been saving that for you.

“The last two weeks, every journalist has been saying, ‘Can you do the sign?’

“I’ve been saying, ‘No, I can’t do it now.’

“But I saved it for you.”

Bana added: “You can’t get it wrong though.

“Don’t get it wrong and have one finger protrude.”

In the elite women’s race, Briton Mara Yamauchi gave the crowd reason to cheer by being second across the line, clocking a personal best time of 2:23:12.

Celebrity runners Peter Andre and Katie Price kept photographers – and more than 750,000 spectators – waiting by jogging across the finish line a little over seven hours after the starting gun was fired at 9.45am.

The London Marathon first started in 1981.

Prison Break star Lane Garrison is to be released from jail on April 29, and childhood pal Jessica Simpson is arranging his ride home.

Garrison was jailed in 2007 for a DUI (driving under the influence) that ended in the death of a 17-year-old passenger in his car.

Simpson reportedly wanted to pick the actor up herself but was worried about the press. So, according to a new report, she has arranged a limousine to pick up Garrison on his release.

A pal told In Touch Weekly: "Jessica wanted to pick Lane up herself, but she can’t. So she hired a limo for a few friends to be there once Lane walks out."

Singer Mel B has managed to sell her LA mansion for $140,000 over the asking price despite the economic situation.

Mel, 33, sold the 3,476 square foot mansion, which has four bedrooms and four bathrooms, for an incredible $3,140,000 even though the asking price was only $2,999,999, according to website RadarOnline.com.

The star had recently spent $1,000,000 refurbishing the mansion, which has a pool, spa, three waterfalls and magnificent views over the city and ocean.

She bought the property in 2007 for a cool $3,000,000 and she is reportedly looking for a bigger home for herself, husband Stephen Belafonte, her two children Phoenix, 10, and Angel, two, and Stephen’s daughter Gisele, four.

Christian Bale will put his fiery temper to good use, getting in the ring with Mark Wahlberg in upcoming movie The Fighter.

The British actor will team up with Wahlberg to tell the real-life story of boxer ‘Irish’ Mickey Ward.

The tale centres on how the Boston fighter was helped to the world lightweight championship by half-brother Dicky Eklund.

Wahlberg is expected to play Ward, with Bale playing Eklund.

Eklund, himself a boxer, was once a world contender who floored champ Sugar Ray Leonard and went the distance against the legend before spiralling into drugs and crime.

He later redeemed himself by training Ward for a Rocky-like inspirational shot at the title.

The film is expected to begin production in July.

Just days after splitting from lover Samantha Ronson, Lindsay Lohan has had her hopes of a new film role dashed.

Lohan was rumoured to be interested in playing Fleetwood Mac frontwoman Stevie Nicks on the big screen.

The New York Times asked the 60-year-old Fleetwood Mac singer – who battled a drug and alcohol addiction – about reports that Lohan, 22, wants to buy the rights to Nicks’ life story and play her on film.

“Over my dead body,” Nicks snapped. “She needs to stop doing drugs and get a grip. Then maybe we’ll talk.”

In a separate interview, Lohan has insisted she hasn’t fallen off the wagon. “I got in trouble, but that’s in my past and that was a long time ago,” the star told Us Weekly magazine.

The famous actor seems to be quite the hound dog since he has recently been linked to no less than six women, including pop singer Britney Spears. A source said this about Mel Gibson’s romances: “Mel invited Britney to his estate to offer a place of respite. He also took her for dinner in Los Angeles. But the innuendo and whispers got to Robyn. She had to get out and this meant divorce.” The plot thickens, it would seem. It looks like Mel Gibson is on a roll. I still wonder how all of this is connected to his recent movies. The actress has denied rumors that there is any sort of conflict between her and her mother after she was surprised to find out about an open letter her mother had posted on the internet begging Tori Spelling to get in touch. Tori Spelling said the following about the letter: “I haven’t seen it. I feel a bit clueless. She has not contacted me. And she’s welcome to contact me. Privately.” And she also added the following about her relationship with her mother: There’s no feud. We simply never meshed. It’s not like we’re not talking, we just haven’t talked. I love my mother. I’ve always loved her and no doubt she loves me. I, in no way, cut her off. She is welcome to make the effort if she wants to be present in their lives. She knows how to reach me, she knows where we live.” Ironically, Tori Spelling’s words just kind of spell “go ahead, I dare you”. The stalker who tried to get to gymnast Shawn Johnson on the set of Dancing with the Stars must keep away from her for three years.

Obsessed fan Robert O’Ryan was arrested at the show’s Los Angeles studios in April after jumping a fence to get near Johnson.

Police later found two loaded guns, tape and zip ties in 34-year-old O’Ryan’s car.

He later reportedly told police that he drove to Los Angeles from Florida after speaking to Johnson, 17, through ESP.

Now a judge has ordered O’Ryan to stay at least 100 yards away from the diminutive Johnson until April 14 2012.

O’Ryan remains behind bars after pleading not guilty to felony stalking and misdemeanour gun charges.

After her quick trip back home to Barbados, Rihanna arrived back in LA this week looking fab in a pair of J Brand 912 “Thrasher” ripped jeans. She made sure to return home AFTER her boy Chris Brown’s hearing. He plead not guilty and will be back in court in May.

She also made a quick stop in New York City last week, to visit one of her biggest fans, six-year-old leukemia patient Jasmina Anema, in a hospital room at NYU Medical Center.
