Madonna’s Tour Sweet Success
Madonna still has what it takes!
Madonna’s Sticky and Sweet Tour is breaking records and she’s just added more shows in South America, three more actually, one in Brazil and two in Argentina. At the start of her tour, Madonna had only been booked, at most for two nights, in each city in South America.
That’s all changed now since according to Live Nation Artists CEO Arthur Fogel, the people in “South America exploded in a fiery insanity” when they heard she was coming.
Her tour now has 58 shows, which makes for around two million concertgoers. It’s scheduled to bring in around $276 million which will make it to be the sixth largest paying tour ever – with the least amount of shows.
Mexico City, which is scheduled for two shows, had their 100,000 tickets sell out in three hours.
Shame Janet Jackson hasn’t had this kind of fantastic fan reaction.
