Mariah Carey and hubby Nick Cannon dressed up as a carton of milk and chocolate chip cookies for their co-hosting gig at a Halloween party at NYC’s Marquee Nightclub. It was in celebration of 6 months of wedded bliss.
Mariah guested on the Rachael Ray Show yesterday and told one of the viewers all about her costume collections:
“One is a sexy firefighter. Then we have an Egyptian.” The third costume choice, Mariah says, “would be chocolate chip cookies…. A two-piece little number, made out of the chocolate chip cookie fabric. Then you have actual cookies sewn on. He [Nick] would be a milk carton with a missing sign over his head.”
*gag*
I have enough hassle trying to decide on one costume let alone find everything I need, she has several? She’s so spoiled!
Hilary Duff took her Yorkie pupster named Jack to the vet in Toluca Lake, California last week.
I see she’s wearing one of the latest styles in denim: paint-spattered jeans. I think I prefer hers to the other style and that’s the torn/ripped jeans. The Ugg boots look comfy, although she is in California and some of the other celebs I’ve seen pictures of are wearing flip-flops!
Her just released “Reach Out” music video, has been getting quite a bit chatter about the thumb-sucking she does on it. It’s the first single off Hilary’s compilation album and its called Best of Hilary Duff. It’s due to drop into stores on November 11th.
Here is a totally fascinating video of Britney working out. I’m so thrilled to be able to post this! It’s so great of her to let me know what it is she does during her work out sessions. Wouldn’t it be great if she posted other videos of her doing everyday mundane things like toasting a pop tart, making microwave popcorn and doing her nails?
The family law commisioner today made her father Jamie’s conservatorship permanent (it was due to expire in December) after her attorneys made the request for him to continue doing so. I believe she agreed to this in the hopes that by doing whatever it takes to get well, and stabilize her health issues, she may be granted increased child access, and down the road someday regain shared custody of her sons.
I wonder how she really feels in all this? She can work, she can go out and about, she can work out, she can go shopping, go on vacation, and pretty much do all things that benefit herself and the people she employs, but she will not be allowed the responsibility for caring for the two little boys she brought into this world.
A tragic update on young Julian King, Jennifer Hudson’s nephew. He had been abducted from his grandmother’s home after a horrific shooting where his grandmother and uncle were shot dead in front of him.
Police today confirmed that the body found shot inside a stolen SUV that was parked approximately 14 miles from the home was the young boy. Jennifer Hudson had to go to the M.E.’s office to identify the body of Julian as well as her mother and brother.
Jennifer had made an appeal on her My Space as well as had offered an 100,000.00 reward for his safe return. The person of interest in the shootings is in custody on a parole violation. His name is William Balfour, and is the separated husband of Jennifer’s sister Julia.
Such a horrific tragedy to happen to her. She was extremely close to her mother, brother and nephew. How awful for her and the rest of their family. What a nightmare this must be for the Oscar winning Dream Girl who just happens to be newly engaged as well as has a number one album out, and a hit film. It’s so sad that she is not able to share this happiness with them.
Jennifer Hudson has made this post to her MySpace Celebrity page to thank her fans for their support and ask for help in finding her 7 year old nephew Julian King who was abducted from her mother’s home last Friday after a shooting took the lives of her mother and brother. She writes:
“Thank you all for your prayers and your calls. Please keep praying for our family and that we get [my nephew] Julian King back home safely. If anyone has any information about his whereabouts please contact the authorities immediately. Here is a picture of Julian and what he was last seen wearing. Once again thank you all for being there for us through this tough time.”
Jennifer’s mother, Darnell Donerson, and her older brother, Jason Hudson, were fatally shot in Chicago on Friday afternoon. The prime suspect is currently in custody. His name is William Balfour and he was married to Jennifer’s sister Julia for several years but they are separated. He is not cooperating with authorities.

This little picture of Britney Spears was taken while she was practicing at International Dance Studio in Hollywood during rehearsal this past Thursday.
It seems that all that dancing, working out and practicing is paying off with positive publicity. The conservatorship has been a positive influence on her as it appears that she is staying on her meds, and behaving herself.
I took a quick peek on her official website and read this:
“Brit got inspired when she put on [dancer] Tucker’s hat and she began to totally rock the session.”
I would think her massive legal bills, and child support payments to K-Fed would be enough of an inspiration for her to want to work. If she wants her children back with her, enough so that she’s sharing custody rather than just having access, she’s going to have to be able to manage her life on her own again.
Madonna’s soon to be ex-hubby was seen here in this picture at the White Cube Gallery in London with a couple of his mates, one of them being Robert Downey Jr. and the other Jude Law last night. The three guys are all working on the Sherlock Holmes film together.
Robert Downey Junior has been sober for over 5 years now. Sober addicts who are working an active program of recovery, which he says he is, cannot have any mind-altering substances at all…illegal or legal. Recovering addicts don’t need to just stay away from the substance that caused the most problems for them. It is ALL substances that need to be avoided because… under the influence of anything, an addict is more likely to relapse on their drug of choice than if they are straight and sober. One cannot make good decisions for oneself when under the influence of alcohol and one’s inhibitions are lessened. This is especially true for a drug addict.
So hopefully, maybe they were out having coffee.

MJ went to some cosmetic and medical dermatology offices in Beverly Hills, Calif., this Thursday afternoon. The “King of Pop”, is now 50 years old, had he not had all those various medical procedures, he probably would have aged gracefully.
He later went to an antiques store called Off The Wall on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles and bought a silver model plane before the paparazzi swarmed the place and he took off in an SUV.
The purchase of the plane remains a mystery. The owner of the unusual antiques store refused to comment about MJ only would confirm that he did buy a model aircraft.

Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James Steele tried to help the jury come to a verdict in Britney’s driving-without-a-license case today in Los Angeles, Calif. He even allowed prosecution and defense attorneys to make additional closing arguments. In the end, he declared a mistrial because the jury was deadlocked 10-2 in favor of acquittal.
The jurors had deliberated over two days and had cast five votes. An additional hearing was scheduled for later in the afternoon to determine whether the case would be retried.
Before they ended their deliberations, the jurors asked the judge two questions:” one seeking to clarify the charges against Spears, and another asking “Why was she stopped in the first place?”
Deliberations ended up lasting longer than the trial. Only three witnesses were called. Britney never showed up in court herself. What is interesting is that as her trial started, her new single “Womanizer,” has climbed to No. 1 on the Billboard charts!
Her lawyer stated that she plans on returning to her home state of Louisiana, where he says she is building a new home… although her plans are on hold because she has yet to regain custody of her sons Jayden and Sean Preston from her ex, K-Fed.
The jury in Britney’s trial (to decide whether she broke the law by driving without a valid California driver’s license) was deadlocked and dismissed today despite being sent back for 20 minutes after telling the judge earlier they were split 10-2.
Brit’s pappy Jamie Spears’ testimony had to be read back (he testified last week) to the jurors by someone else because apparently he spoke with such a southern country twang they had difficulty understanding him.
Gwen Stefani and her rockstar hubby Gavin Rossdale went for a little shopping trip with their son Kingston, who is now 2 years old, to Bed Bath & Beyond on Saturday afternoon in Studio City, Calif.

The charity event’s proceeds went to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, which is dedicated to improving the lives of children by providing specialty pediatric care to kids with orthopaedic conditions, burns, spinal cord injuries and cleft lip and palate.
Children receive medical care in a family-centered environment free of charge – regardless of financial need.
Journalist Paul Reese learned the hard way that the subject of Brad Pitt is a sensitive topic for Chris Martin. Chris was telling the interviewer that he and Gwyneth Paltrow had been talking about how they have one of those silly arrangement (some couples play this game) where he would be allowed to leave her for a certain starlet or she would be allowed to leave him for the singers from Westlife. Odd choice, but that’s who she likes apparently.
Anyways..
The journalist thought that Gwen Paltrow’s choice and thinking out loud exclaimed:
“You could have at least told her Brad Pitt.”
Chris responded,
“She was engaged to him, you f***er.”
He then punched the journalist in the chest.
I can totally see why he would be jealous of Brad, but to react so violently? This isn’t the first time he acted like a jerk… I could understand if he told the guy off or even cut the interview short, especially if the journalist’s line of questioning was annoying him, but to attack him well … he needs to learn to control his temper.
RiRi and Chris Brown have been hanging out for sometime now, but they’ve never admitted it. So time will tell how he reacts to the following tidbit of gossip that was printed in Star Magazine by some unnamed source who was backstage at T.I.’s concert in L.A. on October 3rd:
They said, “Rihanna was sitting on Kanye’s lap, singing along to the music. Before long, the two were full-on kissing each other. People were shocked. After a while, Rihanna must have realized people were watching, because she had her security escort her back to the dressing room.”
Kanye’s attitude, her looks and voice, quite the combination. Then again, she could just be an affectionate kind of chica, and if Chris Brown is fine with her showing some sweetness to Kanye then we should be as well!
