Franny Cobain “Suicidal 16th Birthday Party”

Kurt Cobain’s only daughter Franny Cobain just turned 16, and decided to have a RIP childhood themed party to celebrate at the House of Blues in L.A. on September 2 (check out her MYSpace for pictures).

Electro-punks Mindless Self Indulgence were the entertainment who performed at the party, which supposedly cost her mom Courtney Love $323,000.

etails of the party emerged after her morbid invitation was leaked and surfaced on the internet. Seems as if she doesn’t have any emotional scars from her father’s tragic suicide at the age of 27, as the invite starts with:

‘My one and only sweet 16…..eerrrr actually it’s my “suicidal 16″.’

The morbid theme was a competition as she instructed her friends to look as ‘dead’ as they could saying:

‘WE ARE ALSO HAVING A CONTEST its the “who can look most dead contest” if you dress up dead and are picked as the top 3 you will receive an: IPOD TOUCH and a $200 gift certificate to amoeba.

‘So get that face paint on, and try to make it as realistic as you can. there will only be 3 WINNERS’, signing out as ‘xx franny’.

Her mum Courtney Love, who has spent years trying to recover from her husband’s death attended the shindig and showed up wearing a creepy outfit from ‘The Addams Family’ movie!

A spokesman for Love said: ‘I was there. It was House of Blues with a Goth theme.’

‘It was a lovely party with a live band, In & Out Burgers and a bunch of 16 year old kids.’

Ya… sure it was.

In keeping with the suicide theme, an iPod Touch and a $200 gift certificate to L.A. music store Amoeba was given to the deadest looking guest!
