Usher attended Paris’ Fashion Week and was seen at the Marlies Dekkers’ runway show Sunday night. I wonder if he was getting some ideas for his own lingerie line. He has featured some of his creations in his latest music video for his song “Trading Places.”

He told Women’s Wear Daily:

“You may have heard that I might be launching a lingerie line for men and woman. Comfort and intimacy is very important.”

What is with these actresses/actors/musicians branching out from what they do best? It’s all to make more money: perfumes, clothing lines, handbags, etc.  The stores are FILLED with STUFF already!  How much more money do they want to take from their fans?  How much more can the fans afford to spend?

Britney is supposed to stand trial for driving without a valid California license — a case that has been stayed for a year. She hit a car in August of 2007 and the police became aware she was driving with a Louisiana license in Los Angeles.

Her attorney wants the judge to delay the trial for the time being, because of the conservatorship. According to the documents submitted, she’s still not well. Britney is: “unable to participate meaningfully in her defense.”

I had read recently that supposedly her conservatorship could possibly be ending as early as next month, and if that is the case, then the trial will be a go. We’ll find out soon enough I suppose. Britney-related news is usually released hot off the presses.

Lisa Marie Presley and her husband Michael Lockwood are eagerly awaiting the birth of their babies any day now. They are expecting twins and have said that the baby boy’s MIDDLE name will be Elvis.

Her mother Priscilla Presley had jokingly said:

“It’s a shock, because you think, ‘Twins, oh my gosh, what are we going to do with them?’ I even told her, ‘If you don’t want twins, I will take one and make life easier for you!”

Priscilla is a grandmother to two teenagers—Lisa Marie’s 19-year-old daughter, Riley, and 15-year-old son, Benjamin, with ex-husband Danny Keough.

Presley reluctantly confirmed her pregnancy in March after Britain’s Daily Mail published some very unflattering pictures with a snarky caption implying that she may have inherited Elvis’ famous appetite.

A couple months after Presley’s legal team filed a libel suit, the tabloid printed a retraction, saying:

“We now accept that the suggestion is untrue and [apologize] to Ms Presley for any distress caused.”

Lisa Marie had taken to her blog and wrote:

“It is unfortunate that I couldn’t have announced something that is this much of a blessing and that has made us so incredibly happy under better circumstances,” Presley, who’s due this fall, wrote in March on her MySpace blog.

“Pardon my seething contemptuous tone but ladies, you KNOW if you were pregnant and you felt you were expanding uncontrollably by the moment as a result and the worldwide media started badgering and harassing you for it, plastering you everywhere in an unflattering light, you would be mortified as well.”

I think she looks amazing. I remember seeing her on the telly before she got pregnant with the babies and she was soooooo tiny, even Oprah commented on it. It must be quite the experience watching her tummy expanding the way it has. If she is back to her pre-pregnancy weight in a couple of months the way other celebrity moms have, I’ll be amazed yet again because I believe it should take at least 9 months to lose the weight since it takes 9 months to gain it!

Last week, my friend Carlos and I brought a video camera to Beyond Shelter. Just the two of us. There are 175 children with families here, most of whom have been homeless at some point.

Today, they play in a concrete courtyard. Because of the neighborhood they live in, they have nowhere else to play. I met a woman who has ten children living in a three-bedroom apartment. The Beyond Shelter rec room only allows ten kids at a time. I wish you could all go there with me and see.

I’d like to share with you a glimpse of these beautiful children through my eyes.

While she seems to have grown up a lot since the birth of her child, something tells me that the cost of one of her designer dresses or purses would cover the cost of the playground for these kids!   I have no problem donating to worth causes,  and I pick and choose who gets my money.  I’ll think about this one, but her heart is in the right place, which is nice!

The L.A. County District Attorney will not be filing felony charges against Kanye West and his bodyguard for the attack at LAX earlier this month.

TMZ declined to prosecute and it obviously helped that celebrity attorney Blair Berk represented Kanye and his muscle.

The case has been sent to the L.A. City Attorney for possible misdemeanor prosecution. No decision yet.

I wonder if there is someone out there who is collecting data on all of the celebrity charges and their outcomes which in most cases = them getting off easy. It wasn’t that long ago that Lindsay Lohan was DUI with illegal substances in her possession, Orlando Bloom hitting someone with his car and leaving the scene of the accident until the paps told him to go back, George Michael trolling in toilets for sex as well as being in the possession of narcotics, Kanye making a scene in an airport and destroying property… on and on it goes… if it were us regular peeps, we’d all be doing jail time.

JT and his girlfriend of two years, Jessica relax and tour the beautiful sites of Rome. Here they are snuggling on the street giving the paparazzi something to snap about.

Once he gets back to the U.S. he’ll be refreshed and ready to give his attention, celebrity status and money to his first ever charity golf tournament and golfers David Duval, Rory Sabbatini and Jesper Parnevik have agreed to take part with him in the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open in Las Vegas next month.

He is excited and thrilled with the line-up for his first tournament which has been declared an official PGA event. He’s only been golfing for the past six years - but loves the game.

He says:

“For me, golf is one of those things where you go out and forget about everything else… I remember I hit one amazing shot off the tee, straight down the middle. I got to thinking, ‘Maybe I could play this game.’ I’m self-taught. I’d watch Tiger and Ernie Els on TV and try to learn from what they did, but obviously I related music to it. The golf swing is very, very rhythmic. There’s a certain tempo to it, just in like in music.”

Michael Lohan had been quiet for awhile, but has resurfaced with a scathing email complaining bitterly about Lindsay’s constant companion SaMantha. Not sure what set him off, maybe it was because this past Monday night, Lindsay and SaMan sort of … kind of… publicly admitted they were lovers. Lindsay was asked by Loveline radio host Ted Stryker how long they’ve been together, she responded: “A long, long time.”

Or it might have been because he overheard Samantha telling Lindsay to hang up the phone during a phone call he was trying to have with his daughter. This according to Pop Tarts:

“Michael also said he was in deep conversation on the phone with his daughter recently and heard Sam in the background enticing her to hang up.”

Whatever his reasons for lashing out in an email that has now gone public are, here is some of what he wrote:

“Lindsay is my daughter. I am her father first and not a friend or an enabler. After the death of my dad, [her grandfather] and all the things I continue to hear and see, I am compelled to speak out. The Lindsay I knew never would have missed his wake or funeral. But since being around Samantha, she has become a different person.

If Samantha or ‘anyone’ wants to blog me or has anything to say, let them, to my face. Otherwise, if they want to be the sneaky, lying, parasites they are, I am ready to really spill the beans, and I won’t stop until this dark, evil nemesis is out of Lindsay’s life.”

“There is a lot more to Samantha then meets the eyes, not that what we see is too pleasing anyway! I mean, what’s with this … ‘person’??? Look at the way she ‘dresses’? Once more, she uses her middle finger more than she uses words! Personally, I think she is dark, hideous and a disgusting representation of humanity,” Lohan wrote.

“God will weed her out of Lindsay’s life and at that time, you will finally see Lindsay back in the place where she belongs,” he continued. “Not doing independent films, guest starring on [a] TV show, being a guest judge on a reality TV show or making appearances at Samantha’s DJ gigs. Is this the Lindsay we all knew and loved before Samantha came into her life? No!!! When she got out of Cirque Lodge everything looked good until Samantha came on the ’scene.’”

Why doesn’t he just pray about his concerns regarding his daughter in private rather than going public with his opinions and alienating her further? While he may have genuine concerns about her, this is not the way to communicate.

She wrote an e-mail to Page Six saying Samantha is not evil and that she’s in a great place…blah…blah…blah.. She also said: “My father obviously needs to be on medication to control his moods. He is out of line and his words show how much anger he has, and it’s dangerous and scary as it reminds me of how he treated my mother and I my whole childhood. He needs to be stopped. This is yet another reason why we aren’t speaking.”

What drama!

Amy’s hubby incarcerated Blaaaake has already turned down an offer to get out early if he lived with his mum instead of her.  Blaaaake has now nixrd a second proposal. Prison officials told him that they would shave off two months if he agreed to go to rehab. Blaaake said: “fuck no.”

One of Amy’s friends told the The Sun:

“This will be another blow for her. Blake could have gone to rehab and sorted himself out but would rather see out his sentence in prison.”

Let’s hope Amy doesn’t handle this “blow” with plenty of the real blow!

The friend also said:

“All he wants is a free reign when he leaves, which means living with Amy back in Camden. But if he is turning down these chances to leave jail and get clean, it doesn’t bode well for him and Amy when he finally does get out.”

They tried to make him go to rehab and he said no, no, no!

Are the British authorities too soft on their celebrities with obvious drug problems?

The UK’s Sun is reporting that George Michael received his caution after crying and pleading saying if he was convicted it would ‘kill his career.’

I wonder if he will be barred from the U.S., as he has an AIDS benefit gig next month. He did claim his charity would lose £2million (about US$4 million) in ticket sales if he could not attend.

A snitch told the paper:

“He was very emotional. He kept saying, ‘Please, you’ll ruin my career’. His sob story worked – he escaped with a caution. He was even chauffeured home. He only got away with it because of his celebrity status.”

An ex-Scotland Yard official, a former commander, had this to say:

“He should have been prosecuted. He’s clearly out of control. What does he have to do to be dealt with properly?”

I agree, I mean really, what does it mean to be ‘dealt with properly’ in the U.K.? Several of the British celebs with drug and alcohol problems seem to get so many breaks!

English bad boy George Michael was arrested for drug possession while loitering about a public loo this weekend in London.

He was taken to a police station and given a caution for possessing class A and class C drugs. Home Office Minister Tony McNulty said drug laws needed to be “flexible”.

Asked why Michael had been given a relatively mild punishment for the possession of class A drugs, Mr McNulty said he did not know the details of the case, but he went on to say that  the law provides a wide range of punishments for possession of drugs, and “circumstances and context” had to be applied.

George Michael has just released this message:

“I want to apologise to my fans for screwing up again, and to promise them I’ll sort myself out. And to say sorry to everybody else, just for boring them.”

Brilliant response. He’s got a knack for handling himself, I must admit. So far he has always landed on his feet.
